My Favourite Makeup Products
The products I use are what I use year round. No I don’t have different makeup or shades of product for the different seasons. I am not a makeup artist but these are what I love and what actually work for my complexion. First off these products all range in price from $6-$52 and are from all different websites. I love anything neutral as it is so easy to wear everyday and I get the most use out of it.
Okay let’s start with this amazing palette from Tarte Cosmetics. Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette for $47 on Sephora or you can get it directly from the Tarte website. It claims to be a velvet smooth formula to hydrate and balance lids with a non dry creamy powder. It is also vegan and dermatologist tested. There are mattes and metallics in this palette in nice neutral shades that I can wear everyday. The packaging is adorable as well as the names of the shades. Mermaid and Starfish are the ones I use daily. You get a lot of product for the price and it does apply nice and stays on. I have been using this for over a year and its one of my favourite makeup purchases.
Anastasia Beverly Hills
I’m obsessed with highlighter and this is a great way to get multiple shades you can layer with. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam is the perfect highlighter. It goes on so natural and I love the shades in this Palette. Starburst and Crushed Pearl I wear in the winter months and Mimosa and Hard Candy give you that summer glow. You can purchase this kit on the Sephora website for $52 and it claims that this will cast a lit from within glow. Results are flawlessly incandescent. You get a lot of highlighter in each pod so this will last a long time. I have used mine for over a year and still looks hardly used. I feel like you can’t go wrong with this kit because it has a shade for every skin tone and with layering the shades you can create your own.
Honestly I don’t think I could use any other foundation after trying this one. Younique Mineral Touch liquid foundation claims that it goes on liquid and dries to a soft, powdery finish while optical diffusers blur imperfections and minimize wrinkles and pores. You can only buy this from the Younique website or from a presenter for $47. Sounds expensive but it’s worth it. This is full coverage without feeling heavy. I apply mine with a blusher brush and it goes on perfect and a little goes a long way! Also this is the only foundation I have ever used that smells good! A bottle lasts me around 7 months. It comes in 13 shades so you can find the right match for you. They also have a love it guarantee so if you aren’t 100% happy send it back for a full refund!
I was only recently introduced to Colourpop Cosmetics when I did a bulk order with a friend. I am obsessed with their liquid lipsticks. Right now I have 1 matte, 1 ultra satin finish and 1 metallic. The one shown below is Calypso ” You’ll feel free spirited in this mid-tone pink”. You can only purchase these from the Colourpop website for $5-$6 US! These are a steal of a deal and stay on all night and into the next day if you sleep with it on. I own three Kylie Lip Kits and these hold up much better and are 1/3 of the price! This is a product you can’t go wrong with and theres a million shades to choose from. You also won’t have buyers guilt because you are getting a great product for dirt cheap!
