In mid April of last year (2016) I cut my hair to my chin in hopes of growing healthy new locks. I have to keep reminding myself how much my hair has grown the past year as it is now just past my collarbone. In my mission for healthy hair I started taking hair pills and using quality hair products. I only used heat on my hair once a week at the most and didn’t get it coloured for 8 months. It’s been a year without a trim and guess what I don’t have split ends! Below I am sharing with you my favourite hair products I have fallen in love with the past year.
La’Bang Body Repair Me
I fell in love with this company two years ago because of their coconut oil body oils that I use religiously. When they came out with this hydrating and strengthening hair treatment I had to try it. I love the vanilla scent and how great my hair feels after the treatment. I use this every 10 days. I massage into dry hair and let it sit for a few hours then shampoo it out. It is 100% vegan and natural. The ingredients are coconut oil, macadamia oil, Moroccan argan oil and jojoba oil.
Redavid Orchid Oil
This is my absolute favourite hair oil I have ever used. The smell is amazing and the super light oil is perfect to smooth flyway’s and tames my curly, frizzy hair. My hair feels so soft, shiny and light after using this. I apply to dry hair and it instantly transforms it. My hair dresser recommended this to me when I cut my hair and I have been using it ever since. This 90 ml bottle has lasted me a year this month and I still have a bit left. A little goes a long way!
Caviar CC Cream
I got this 10 in 1 leave in hair perfector as a sample from Sephora and have boughten it twice since. I think this product plays a big part in not having split ends. The cream provides strength, manageability,UV protection, heat protection and anti breakage. I use it after every shower on wet hair. I don’t love the smell but I do love the way it makes my hair look once it’s dry. The UV and heat protection is also something I need for my dry hair that is prone to breakage.
Joico Brightening Masque
This product saved me from yellow, dull hair due to chlorine and minerals. I use this product a few times a month and really helped my hair look half decent because I went through a 8 month period of not having it done. It hydrates, illuminates and detox’ your hair. Apply to wet hair and leave on for 2-5 minutes then rinse.
Tarte Hair Goals Dry Shampoo
I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week so a good dry shampoo is a must! I love Tarte products so decided to give this a try. First off the smell is amazing and should be a perfume. It leaves no white residue and is sulphate and paraben free. My hair actually feels like it has been washed after using this. I only bought the travel size to try it out but will be buying the full size once this runs out.
